Jujutsu Kaisen is exactly that kind of series.
I’ve been watching anime for about two years. I’m not a veteran of the medium. Still, I can confidently say that, out of everything I’ve seen so far, JJK is one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had.
Not just because it has action.
Not just because it looks impressive.
But because it’s one of those anime that makes you want to dive deeper into its world.
Animation & Fight Scenes You Can’t Get Enough Of
Let’s start with the obvious: the animation is incredible.
The fights don’t just feel like well-crafted shonen scenes. Many times, they feel cinematic — heavy, intense, and paced in a way that keeps you completely locked in.
MAPPA delivered top-tier work. Every confrontation carries speed, style, and a brutal energy that doesn’t let you look away.
And when concepts like Domains come into play, you realize this series is operating on a completely different level.
Music & Atmosphere on Another Level
The soundtrack is among the best I’ve heard in anime.
The openings are strong, but what truly stands out is the music within the episodes — the way it subtly raises the tension without you even noticing.
JJK carries a dark tone. A seriousness. A constant sense that something terrible is always lurking.
And that’s exactly what makes it even more addictive.
The Power System Confused Me — and That Made It Better
Here’s the most interesting part for me.
Jujutsu Kaisen introduces cursed energy, domains, abilities, terminology, and mechanics that sometimes move very quickly in the anime. There were moments when I thought, “Okay… what exactly just happened?”
But instead of ruining the experience, something unexpected happened: I bought the manga to understand it better.
And to me, that’s the definition of a 10/10.
An anime that doesn’t simply end on the screen — it pulls you deeper into its world.
The manga is more explanatory and clarifies techniques and mechanics more thoroughly. Together with the anime, the experience becomes complete.
Characters: Some of the Strongest I’ve Seen
The characters might be JJK’s greatest weapon.
They’re not just good and evil archetypes. They all carry weight and presence.
Yuji Itadori
Yuji is one of the most likable protagonists I’ve seen. He isn’t the classic shonen hero who gets everything handed to him. He carries responsibility, pain, and a humanity that makes you genuinely care.
Gojo
Gojo is iconic. Every time he appears, it feels like the entire level of the series shifts. He’s not just the “strong character.” He’s a phenomenon.
Megumi & Nobara
Megumi has that dark aura and abilities that make you curious to see how far he can go.
Nobara is exactly what she needs to be. She’s not decorative. She’s not there just to exist. She’s confident, capable, and has real presence in the story.
Yuta Okkotsu
And then there’s Yuta.
Yuta is terrifyingly powerful. From the moment you see him, you understand he operates on another level. He carries an aura unlike anyone else.
Villains That Truly Haunt You
And the villains… this is where JJK delivers a masterclass.
Sukuna
Sukuna isn’t just the “evil spirit inside the hero.”
He’s pure terror.
Every time he appears, it feels like something has gone terribly wrong.
Geto
Geto is one of the most interesting antagonists because he isn’t one-dimensional.
He has ideology. He has purpose. And that makes him far more dangerous than a simple villain.
Conclusion: An Experience That Pulls You Deeper
Jujutsu Kaisen has everything:
Stunning animation
Powerful music and atmosphere
Characters you grow attached to
Villains that genuinely unsettle you
And a world so deep it makes you buy the manga
From the two seasons I’ve watched so far, it’s been one of my top experiences.
Not because it’s perfect in the traditional sense.
But because it’s one of those anime that makes you feel like you’re witnessing something big.
And for me, that’s what matters most.
